About Ellen Stimson

Ellen Stimson is a modern day Post-Impressionist style painter inspired by many of the great turn of the century French artists.

Living in an old farmhouse in the mountains of Vermont and a frequent visitor to Provence and Martha’s Vineyard with her husband John, Ellen finds inspiration all around her. Ellen is blessed with three grown-up kids, a completely adorable and much loved husband, John Rushing, and a very civilized pack of dogs, kitty and chickens. It’s a big messy country life tarted up by true love. She writes and paints the whole divine delicious catastrophe from a farmhouse in Vermont.
